The basic motors -made by Dunkermotoren, they have a 3300 RPM 50 Watt motor, a 20.25:1 gear box, and a shaft encoder on the motor. The drawing in the catalog lies, though, at least for these motors. The bolt circle for the mounting screws isn't 40mm diameter, but appears more like 30mm square.
Bug Parts - The frame of the bug is 3/4" square aluminum tubing, bolted together with 10-32 hardware. The motor mounts are made from lengths of 1x2x1/8" aluminum channel which I had around. (That channel is the most useful thing.. I bought 20 feet of it 15 years or more ago, and it keeps getting recycled, and cut into smaller and smaller pieces).
The frame pieces have a coat of paint, mostly to keep all that black oxide from accumulating on my hands, etc. This is definitely a "racecar paint job"; it looks ok from 5 feet away, but up close, orangepeel, drips, etc.
